Photo Voice Project

Indomitable Families will be collaborating with Dr. Lindsey Feldman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at The University of Memphis, to give five women an opportunity to share their experience of having a loved one incarcerated.  Participants will receive a camera to take photos of different people, places, and things that represent their perspective on reentry.  There will be five weekly group meetings for the women to share their photos with each other and pick their favorites.  The selected photos will be showcased at Indomitable's Fall Fundraiser!

UPDATE:  Phase 2 of PhotoVoice is complete! Thank you to the six ladies who participated. We are excited about unveiling their photos during our Masquerade Wine Tasting Gala in November! Indomitable, under the vision of Dr. Lindsey Feldman, took on this project to show our supporters the impact of incarceration and how their support helps to eliminate barriers for returning citizens and their families. The PhotoVoice project gave a voice to the invisible victims left behind while their loved one served time including a life sentence. Thanks again to the women willing to share their experiences and we look forward to seeing our supporters and donors in November. Click here for tickets:
